The sources
The famous Cahiers de Saint-Louis, the great classics (Père Anselme, La Chesnaye-Desbois, Chaix d'Est Ange, etc...) and a selection of the best books to build a "royal structure", the spontaneous help of numerous people who have a passion for history and genealogy.

The postulates
Hugh Capet We are all descended from a person who lived at the time of Hugh Capet. We all have 2 parents, 4 grand-parents, 8 great-grand-parents, etc... (it doubles at each generation). If we went on, we would reach one billion ancestors at the time of Hugh Capet, whereas we know the French population did not exceed 10 million people !

An enormous job
Louis XV is said to have about sixty illegitimate children, hence the great spreading of royal blood. Then you are more likely to find Capetian blood in homes that are not noble !

175.000 people : it is not much but...
It is not much when we think that we are practically all Capetian. But it is enough to offer a very great number of French families starting points or unsuspected links. 175.000 people, it is already 25% of the French "Bottin Mondain"... (see the family list).
